Terms & Privacy
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Effective date: January 6, 2026. Last revised: April 26, 2026.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or accessing Stylish Softphone (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, your organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who we are
The Service is operated by Answer Anywhere LLC ("Answer Anywhere", "we", "us"). Our registered address and contact details are available at stylishsoftphone.com/contact.
3. Account and eligibility
- You must be 18 years or older and capable of entering a binding contract.
- Account credentials are your responsibility. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
- One organisation may operate multiple tenant accounts; each tenant is subject to these Terms.
- Trial accounts are limited in call volume and duration as displayed in the product. Abuse of trial access may result in termination.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe.
- Seat overages (above the included bundle) are billed at the per-seat rate listed on your plan at the end of each billing period.
- Prices are displayed exclusive of applicable taxes. You are responsible for any sales, VAT, or GST applicable in your jurisdiction.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel at any time from the billing portal; your access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are not provided for partial periods except where required by applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Transmit spam, automated robocalls, or unsolicited commercial messages
- Violate any applicable telecommunications regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other tenants' data or systems
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the software
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service platform itself (white-labelling the user-facing softphone UI to your end clients is permitted and expected)
6. Your data and PBX
You retain ownership of all call records, user data, and PBX infrastructure. We do not inspect, monetise, or share your call data. You are responsible for ensuring your SIP infrastructure complies with applicable regulations (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.) in your jurisdiction. We provide the application layer only; call audio transits directly between your users' browsers and your PBX via WebRTC. We do not record, proxy, or store media.
7. Service availability
We target 99.9% uptime for the application and API (excluding scheduled maintenance). Current status is available at stylishsoftphone.com/status. We are not responsible for connectivity issues arising from your PBX, network, or end users' browsers.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its UI, code, and branding (excluding your white-label customisations) are owned by Answer Anywhere and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service during your subscription period.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Answer Anywhere's total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue, missed calls, or business interruption.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that puts the Service or other users at risk. Upon termination, your data is retained for 30 days and then deleted.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms with at least 14 days' notice (by email or in-app notification) for material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Non-material corrections may be made without notice.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts of Delaware.
Effective date: January 6, 2026. Last revised: April 26, 2026.
1. What we collect
Account information: Name, email address, organisation name, billing address, and subscription status, provided when you sign up.
Usage data: Call counts and durations (not recordings), feature usage, and error logs, used to operate and improve the service.
User preferences: Dark mode setting, BLF order, colour theme, quick dials, contacts, stored server-side to persist across devices.
Billing information: Payment is handled by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID and subscription state, never your full card number.
Technical data: Browser type, approximate timezone, and IP address for security purposes (login auditing, fraud prevention).
2. What we do NOT collect
- Call recordings or transcripts: audio goes directly from your users' browsers to your PBX via WebRTC. We are not in the media path.
- Phone numbers called: call history entries are stored in your database (if self-hosted) or our database per your plan, but we do not analyse or share this data.
- SIP credentials: credentials are encrypted at rest and never logged in plaintext.
3. How we use your data
- To operate the service: authentication, provisioning, delivering the softphone application
- To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (invite links, password resets, billing receipts) via our email provider
- To detect and prevent abuse, unauthorised access, and fraudulent activity
- To improve the product based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns
4. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with:
- Stripe: for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.
- Mailgun: for transactional email delivery. Email addresses are transmitted to Mailgun to send emails you expect to receive.
- Infrastructure providers: our hosting provider may process data in operating our servers. We use providers with appropriate data processing agreements.
- Law enforcement: only if required by valid legal process.
5. Data retention
- Account data is retained for the life of your subscription plus 30 days after termination.
- Call history is retained for 90 days by default.
- Security logs (login attempts, IP addresses) are retained for 90 days.
- You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected].
6. Security
We use TLS for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest, and restrict access to production systems to authenticated personnel. SIP credentials are stored encrypted and are never included in logs or error reports.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to maintain your login state. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or analytics cookies. The application does not use third-party analytics SDKs.
